Robert Service, the internationally discredited biographer of Trotsky, is due to speak February 12 at the Humboldt University in Berlin at the invitation of Professor Jörg Baberowski. The invitation is an intellectual provocation. Service is not a genuine historian, but rather a right-wing ideologue.

At a meeting of the International Youth and Students for Social Equality, Wolfgang Weber of the Socialist Equality Party will elaborate the critique of Service’s Trotsky biography and discuss the philosophical and political foundations of the post-Soviet school of historical falsification.
