The International Youth and Students for Social Equality (IYSSE) in the UK are holding a series of meetings in defence of Edward Snowden, the former US National Security Agency (NSA) contractor. Documents made available by Snowden have revealed that all Internet activity, including every email, phone call, Skype conversation and credit card purchase, is accessible to the NSA and Britain’s spy network, the Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ)
The IYSSE are seeking to mobilise a mass movement in opposition to these attacks and in defence of fundamental democratic rights on the basis of a socialist struggle against the ruling class and its political defenders.
