The WSWS spoke to Ford workers in Dearborn, Michigan as they prepared to vote on contract revisions agreed by the company and the United Auto Workers. The vast majority of workers said they opposed the revisions, which would impose significant new concessions.
Early reports are that workers at Dearborn voted against the contract by 93 percent. So far, 12 plants have opposed the contract, while only four have voted in favor. Recent “No” votes include two plants in Chicago, Illinois and a parts plant in Saline, Michigan.
