This is the April-June edition of Fourth International, the former quarterly theoretical journal of the International Committee of the Fourth International (ICFI). This edition followed the publication of a June 13, 1988 article in the Soviet daily newspaper Izvestia, announcing that the Supreme Court of the Soviet Union had met and declared that all those accused of crimes against the state in the Moscow Trials of 1936 and 1937 were, in fact, innocent of all the charges brought against them.
This volume includes a number of other important documents and statements, including the speech delivered by David North at a memorial meeting in Sri Lanka for Keerthi Balasuriya, the former leader of the ICFI’s Sri Lankan section, who died tragically of a heart attack at the age of 39 on December 18, 1987.
