Student leader commends coverage of James Byrd murder

22 July 1998

I would like to commend the editor, author, and staff of this newspaper that published a report on this brutal lynching. Many news stations, newspapers, radio and etc. refuse to air the true racism that is occurring in this country. However, the sexual preferences and behavior of the president is being constantly aired. Thank you for voicing the struggle of African-Americans.
